What a game, Wildcats fans! Saturday’s showdown was one for the books as our Wildcats secured a thrilling victory, propelling them into the Area Playoffs with style and determination.
Leading the charge was none other than Jack “Big Red” Jones, whose stellar performance on the mound was nothing short of spectacular. The junior pitcher delivered a Complete Game Gem, allowing only 4 hits and a solitary walk while striking out an impressive 8 opponents. Jones was simply on fire, showcasing his skills and leading the team to victory.
But it wasn’t just Jones who shined brightly on the field. Our Wildcats’ bats were alive and swinging, with 9 different players collecting hits throughout the game. The sophomores showed their power, with Joshua Viars and Andrew Curry blasting homeruns to get us on the board. Viars smashed a solo shot, while Curry’s Grand Slam electrified the crowd and gave us a commanding lead.
Junior Brett Hennigan proved his worth at the plate, going 2-3 for the day, while classmate Seth Yeamans contributed with a clutch 2 RBI single to extend our advantage. The teamwork and determination displayed by every player were truly commendable, showing that our Wildcats are a force to be reckoned with.
